Article (1)

Unit Establishment Decision

Having considered the Vice Rectorship for Development and Quality resolutions issued on 01/13/1432 AH, the NCC Main Unit of Quality and Development has been established to follow up the College academic programs to ensure the applications of quality standards and improve the quality of these programs with a view to obtain accreditation from national and global accreditation bodies. The Unit is a part of the structure of the College and it is treated as an independent unit, under HE the Dean of College.

The Unit is formulating strategies to improve the quality of performance in the College to be competitive with their peers on local and global scales. The Unit's members cooperate with the members of the sub-units to apply and meet quality requirements.

Unit Objectives

  Main Unit of the Development and Quality Objectives

To disseminating the culture of quality among the College employees

To follow-up of the quality plans in the NCC programs and sub-units

 To provide technical support in quality and development

To maintain COE Academic accreditation  

To obtain academic accreditation through contacting national and world accreditation institutions to achieve distinction and leadership

To develop the skills of the NCC employees through seminars, courses, workshops in cooperation with the relevant authorities.

 

Article (5)

  Tasks of Administrative Team

The Main Unit of Development and Quality members formulate the policy and work systems that achieve the goals of the Unit in the light of the requirements of development and quality, and in the framework of regulations, which are as follows:

·        Making and updating the internal regulations of the Unit to be adopted by the Board of the College.

·        Formulating the annual plan of the Main Unit of the Development and Quality.

·        Reviewing time-bound plans of subunits, approving them, and following up their implementation.

·        Assessment of the periodic reports of sub-units' performance.

·        Making the annual report of the works of the Main Unit of the Development and Quality.

·        Undertaking the tasks assigned to the Unit from the relevant authorities with regard to the development and quality.

Article (6)

  Chairperson of Main Unit for Development and Quality Tasks

·        To follow up the implementation of public policy designed to achieve the main objectives of the Unit in accordance with the policy and objectives of the NU Vice Rectorship for Development and Quality.

·        Adopting system for the work of the Unit and determine its staff tasks.

·        Supervising the implementation of objectives and observing the workflow of the Unit.

·        Following up the implementation of the decisions of executive team of the Unit.

·        Regular meeting of the members and the Supervisor of the Main Unit of Development and Quality.

·        Communicating with relevant specialized institutions and agencies to improve the quality in the college.

·        Presenting adopted reports of the Unit to the NU Deanship of Quality and Development.

Article (7)

Tasks of Vice Chairman of the Unit

·        Carrying out the tasks of Chairman in case of his absence.

·        Assisting Chairman of the Unit and performing tasks as assigned related to the management of the Unit.

  Article (8)

 Supervisor Tasks of Main Unit for Development and Quality

·        Continuous and constant Supervision of the performance of the Unit to achieve the objectives of the Unit.

·        Communication between the two sections of the college (Male & Female sections) with respect to quality activities.

·        Nomination of faculty members for courses and workshops in coordination with the coordinators of Quality of the College programs.

·        Regular meeting with members of the Unit

·        Regular meeting of the heads of sub-units of the College

·         Regular meeting with the coordinators of Quality in the College Departments

·        Regular meeting with the consultants of Vice Rectorship for Development and Quality for the purpose of technical support

·        Presenting the annual report of the work of the unit to the Chairman of the Main Unit Development and quality.

·        Completion of the tasks as assigned by the Chairman of the Unit. 

Article (9)

  Vice Supervisor Tasks of Main Unit for Development and Quality

·        Carrying out the tasks of the Unit Supervisor in case of his absence.

·        Assisting Supervisor of the Unit and performing tasks related to the management of the Unit as assigned.

   Article (10)

Rapporteur Tasks for Development and Quality Unit

·        Drawing up agenda for Unit's meeting in coordination with the Supervisor of the Unit

·        Writing up the minutes of the meetings and get them signed by the members of the unit.

·        Editing documents and correspondence of the Unit and presenting them to the Unit's Supervisor.

·        Completion of the tasks as assigned by the Chairman of the Unit.

   Article (11)

Coordinators Tasks of Quality Unit in the College Departments

·        Constant follow-up of the requirements of quality in the departments of the College to achieve the objectives of the Unit

·        Nomination of faculty members for courses and workshops on quality standards in coordination with Supervisor of Quality in the College.

·        Regular meeting of the heads of standards

·        Regular meeting with the Quality Unit Supervisor

·        Submitting periodic reports on the quality works of departments to the Unit's Supervisor

·        Completion of the tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of the Unit

 Article (12)

  Heads of Sub-units' Tasks

·        Assigning tasks to the members of the unit

·        Periodic follow-up of the implementation of the tasks of the Unit and assessment of the performance of the members

·        Inviting Unit members for periodic meetings and writing them up in the minutes

·        Presenting periodic reports of the Unit works to the Main Unit Supervisor

·         Completion of the tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of the Unit

 The organizational structure of the unit is composed of two teams:
